DWOSI · Dev Weekends Open Source Initiative
Ship real products, not practice projects.
Students and early-career engineers contribute to products like Buildment, Pathment and Community Cloud, and get their pull requests reviewed by the engineers who maintain them.
Why DWOSI
Practice projects only take you so far
Tutorials teach syntax. Real products teach you how software gets built, reviewed and shipped.
Practice projects
- Nobody uses what you build.
- Nobody reviews your code.
- Your GitHub fills up with tutorial clones.
DWOSI projects
- Your code ships in real products, not throwaway demos.
- Maintainers review your pull request before it merges.
- Your profile shows merged work on live products.
